How to claim and control your subdomain

A concise guide to sign in, validate your server, publish DNS, and keep things running smoothly.

Make sure your server answers

Validate your Minecraft server before wiring DNS to it.

Ping with /mc-checker

Enter your IP:port (e.g., 123.45.67.89:25565). If the checker reads your MOTD and players, the dashboard validation will pass too.

Common fixes

Most failures come from closed ports or firewalls. Confirm the port (usually 25565) is open to the internet and your server is online.

Create and manage subdomains

Use the dashboard for everything: create, edit, delete, and restore.

In /dashboard click “+”, pick a root domain, enter your subdomain, IP, and port. We push A/SRV records immediately once validation succeeds.

Edit or delete

Use Edit to swap IP/port when you move hosts. Delete frees the slot right away so you can reuse it.

Stay dynamic with DDNS

Copy your DDNS token from /profile → DDNS. Hitting that URL updates your IP without waiting for TTLs.

Verification & ownership

Prove control when a platform (like Minehut) asks for DNS proof.

Publish Minehut TXT

Minehut gives minehut-verification=abc123. In /txt-verification pick your subdomain, paste the token, and save. We pause A/SRV and publish the TXT.

Restore DNS

Remove the token in /txt-verification or click “Restore DNS” on the locked card in /dashboard. We delete the TXT and recreate normal records instantly.

How long does DNS take?

We update DNS instantly. With DDNS links, changes are immediate; without DDNS, resolvers may cache for up to 6 hours. Most apply within 2–10 minutes.

Can I change a name?

You can’t rename a subdomain, but you can delete and recreate it. Editing the IP/port is always allowed.

Can I run multiple servers?

Yes. Each slot equals one managed subdomain. Earn more via referrals or ask support if you need bulk capacity.

Pricing?

It’s free. No paid tiers or hidden fees.

Custom redirects?

We can host vanity links or shortlinks. Ask in Discord with your target URLs.
